Simon Davies Tournament
A field of 64 took part in what was the fifth running of the event. The
tournament has become an integral part of the club calender and is
anticipated greatly by members and visitors alike. The club is
extremely fortunate and grateful to Simon for holding this event on
our course.
We welcome a new sponsor this year, "Greensoil Ltd" who are the
sole uk distributors of the plus 2 Golf buggy. We look forward to a
long association with this company and wish them every success
with this new enterprise.
The club would like to thank our previous sponsor Steve Davies of
the "Imperial Group"for his support and wish him a speedy recovery
in all aspects of his life.
The Individual winner Joe Howlin was also a member of the winning
team. Joe playing off 12 scored 39 points and unfortunately could not
attend the presentation, his prizes were presented to his team captain
Buzzy Bland by Simon, Peter Bellan MD of Greensoil Ltd. and club captain Mike Thomas.
The other team members were Nick Hosgood (also 39 points losing
out on back 9 to Joe) Duncan Edwards 34.

It's not only "old Tom" who's body needs some attention but this mottly crew
with the exception of octagenarian Ken(in hat)have used up the whole of the
welsh health budget.
