Local Rules
- Visitors and all non
competition rounds to use the following tees:-
Men - Yellow Markers First Nine, Purple Markers Second
Nine
Ladies - Black & Red Markers First Nine, Green &
Red Second Nine
- Out of Bounds - Course boundaries, top of hedge
is IN bounds. White posts to right of 5th fairway.
- Players already on 2nd green have preference over
those about to drive from the 7th & 16th Tees
- The carpark and cars thereon, stones on fairways,
white painted stones in rough,the clubhouse and surround
may be treated as immovable obstructions - relief
under 24-2
- Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions. Rule
24-1 applies. enbedded stones in bunker between 7th
and 9th green is immovable obstruction Rule 24-2
applies.
- Tractor marks or bare ground caused by an
implement may be regarded as ground under repair.
- Surround of wrong green - under Rule 25-3, the
surround of a putting green other than that of the
hole being played is deemed to be part of that green
and ball must be dropped outside the surround.
Etiquette
- Every player on the course must be in possession
of a set of clubs.
- Divots must be replaced, bunkers raked and pitch
marks repaired at all times.
- Avoid taking caddie cars or trollies between greens
and bunkers.
- The fairways must not be used for practice.
St. Davids City Golf Club Buggy Policy
These rules and regulations are in everyone’s interest to improve standards, ensure safety, to preserve our course and equally important to ensure that you and all the other members continue to enjoy their golf at St. Davids City Golf Club.
- Never drive buggies between bunkers and greens or on any Green surrounds.
- Never drive buggies near any Tees.
- Only 2 bags and two people are to ride on a buggy at any time.
- Owners are responsible for the conduct of anyone who borrows their buggy.
- No Juniors can drive buggies.
- Buggies must be stored in the allocated parking area.
Safe Working Practices
The use of a golf buggy
- Always remain seated and hold on whilst vehicle is in motion.
- Hands and feet must be kept inside the golf buggy at all times.
- Golf Buggies must only be driven in designated areas.
- The buggies must be used to progress the game and not driven up and down looking for golf balls.
- The buggies must not be used on Greens, Tees or any slope leading up to them.
- The Buggies must not be used within 2 metres of any bunker or slope leading up to them.
- Check the area behind the buggy before backing up.
- Set the brake before leaving the Buggy.
- Always consider the terrain, existing vehicular and pedestrian traffic conditions as well as the environmental factors that may affect your ability to operate the vehicle safely.
- Drive the buggy only as fast as the terrain and safety considerations allow.
- To avoid tipping over only drive the buggies straight up and down slopes and slow down on corners.
