Thursday 29th May 2008 saw the PGA Captain Parnell Reilly visit the club accompanied by the Ryder Cup. Club Captain Mike Thomas lead the welcome committee. The visiting party arrived by helicopter which landed on the 7th fairway in front of the clubhouse.
All those present had the opportunity to be individually photographed with the trophy.
